Sue Ellen Nichols Gagnon

September 17, 1952 — June 21, 2016

Funeral services for Sue Ellen Nichols Gagnon, 63, of Ogdensburg will be held on Friday June 24, 2016 at 2 p.m. at LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Nichols officiating.  A visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Eel Weir.  

Mrs. Gagnon passed away on June 21, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home, under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley.

Arrangements are under the direction of LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home 324 New York Ave. Ogdensburg.

Sue Ellen Nichols Gagnon was born on September 17, 1952 in Ogdensburg.  She was the daughter of Benjamin and Vera (Salton) Nichols.  She attended Ogdensburg Schools.  She loved her cat, Toby and enjoyed playing BINGO and taking Scooter rides along the St. Lawrence River.    Most of all she loved her wonderful grandchildren.

She is survived by her mother, Vera Nichols of Ogdensburg, her children; Jeffrey (Angela) Ward of Lisbon, James (Molly) Ward of Lisbon, John Ward of Ogdensburg, Bobbi Jo Gagnon of Ogdensburg and William (Airaca) of Ogdensburg.  She is survived by her sisters; Jan (Tom) Tyler of Liverpool and Nancy Rudiger of Ogdensburg and her special friend James Bateman of Ogdensburg.  She was blessed with many grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husbands; David Ward and Edward Gagnon, her father; Benjamin V. Nichols and her granddaughter Morgan Gagnon.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations in Sue Ellen’s memory be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley 6805 US Highway 11 Potsdam, NY 13676 or to the "Goin' for Owen Team " Cystic FIbrosis Foundation of Central New York Chapter 2507 James Street Suite 106 Syracuse, NY 13206.
