Stephen L. Bradley

RUSSELL-Funeral services for Stephen L. “Polar Bear” Bradley, 57, of Russell will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 4 p.m. at the LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home with Deacon John White officiating.  A visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will be held at a later date in Notre Dame Cemetery.    Mr. Bradley died unexpectedly on August 28, 2017 at St. Mary’s hospital in Amsterdam, NY.

Arrangements are under the direction of LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home.

Stephen L. Bradley was born on October 27, 1959 in Ogdensburg, New York.  He was the son of Robert E. and Alice E. (Bell) Bradley.  He was a 1978 graduate of Ogdensburg Free Academy and earned his Automotive Repair Certificate from B.O.C.E.S.  He worked for Bradley’s Service Station and Acco Brands, earlier in his career.  Most recently he worked as a delivery man for the Woodchop Shop in Canton.  He was a member of the Ogdensburg Moose Lodge and the Quebec Brook Hunting Club.  He enjoyed gambling, playing cards, hunting and especially his work at the Woodchop Shop, most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.  

He is survived by his mother, Alice E. Bradley of Ogdensburg, his brother, Scott Bradley of Ogdensburg and his sisters; Susan (Pat) Farrell of Ogdensburg, Shelly (Gary) Cook of Sangerfield, NY and Sharon Bradley of Ogdensburg. He is survived by his companion Dianna Paulson and many nieces, nephews, godchildren and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father Robert E. Bradley and his brother Robert E. Bradley Jr. in infancy.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations in Stephen’s memory be made to the Ogdensburg Boys and Girls Club 620 Patterson St. Ogdensburg, NY 13669 or to the Make-A-Wish Foundation  5005 Campuswood Dr, East Syracuse, NY 13057.
