Thank you Phil & Karen Satterlee. for your kind comments and sharing your memories with my family. I am Bill, the oldest of Stanley’s children. I was the one in the Navy and did not get home too often. He talked about you kind people a lot and he really liked doing his service with the Salvation Army. He was a proud soldier. E-mail me your address and I will send you a picture of the family that was at Dad’s memorial service on the 14th of Sept. May God Bless you both and thank you again. Bill & Patti Johnson

Dear Family,
How sad we were to learn of Stan’s passing – and yet, what a long and blessed life he had! Today, in our hearts we celebrate his life, and thank God that we were privileged to know him! A quiet, gentle man in the truest sense of the word! How he loved the Lord, The Salvation Army, and his family! He had his priorities right! Many precious times were spent by the Satterlees in his home – with his good cooking – and gracious spirit!! On e memory that stands out is this: one year we shared a garden with him, in the side yard of the Salvation Army quarters on Judson St. We knew little about gardening – but Stan knew so much! It was our garden, but Stan took care of the weeds, etc – and we could always tell when the “master gardener” had been around! We reaped the harvest that year, not because of our efforts, but because of the humble, caring, giving expertise of Stan!!
Our love and prayers are with each one of you – may you take comfort in the fact that Stan is with His Lord!!
