Funeral services for Stanley R. Douglas, 62, of Ogdensburg will be held at a later date to be announced. Mr. Douglas died unexpectedly at his home on March 19th, 2017.
Arrangements are under the direction of LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home.
Stanley R. Douglas was born on July 16, 1954 in Ogdensburg, NY. He was the son of the late Ralph and Mary (Bell) Douglass. He was a 1972 graduate of Ogdensburg Free Academy and later Clarkson University with a B.A. in Civil Engineering. He has had various jobs over the years, taking him to such states as Vermont, Colorado, Connecticut and New Mexico. He was an avid reader, enjoying crossword puzzles and bicycling.
He is survived by his sister Suzanne Douglas of Middlebury, VT, his aunts; Donna Bell of Washington D.C. and Mildred Dillenbeck and her husband Richard of Ogdensburg. He is also survived by numerous cousins.

Stanley will be greatly missed at the Ogdensburg Public Library. He loved to read and I had many pleasant conversations with him over the years here. He was a wonderful patron and very nice person.

Stan I'll always remember growing up together as back door neighbors, all the Halloween parties and our great neighborhood crew. We had a lot of fun growing up there. We always knew we could count on one another if we need anything. Fly high you will be missed.
