Sharon Strader Hutchcroft

OGDENSBURG- A visitation for Sharon Strader Hutchcroft, 65, of Ogdensburg will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2019, from 3-6 p.m. at the LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home.    There will be no funeral service per Sharon’s request.   Entombment will be private at Foxwood Memorial Park.    Mrs. Hutchcroft died at her home on Friday, February 22, 2019, surrounded by her family and under the care of Hospice of St. Lawrence County.

Arrangements are under the direction of LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home.

Sharon Strader Hutchcroft was born on January 22, 1954, in Ogdensburg, NY.  She was the daughter of the late Albert James and Rita Mae (Spooner) Strader.   She was a graduate of Ogdensburg Free Academy.  She worked as a teacher’s assistant for BOCES in Ogdensburg.  She enjoyed gardening, she loved her dog “Suzie”, most of all she loved spending time with her children, friends, and family. 

She is survived by her children Billie Jo Garvey and her husband Randy of Ogdensburg and Dawn LaRose and her husband Michael of Ogdensburg.  She is also survived by her grandchildren; Easton, Cooper, and Brooks Garvey and Zach, Brynlee, Gwen and Ethan Thomas.  Her sister Carol Sias and her husband Joseph of Ogdensburg also survive her along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her brother Robert Strader.
