Ogdensburg-Graveside services for Sharon M. McDonald, 75, of 1111 Jay Street, Ogdensburg will be private.  Mrs. McDonald died on Wednesday August 17, 2016 at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center.

Arrangements are under the direction of LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home, Ogdensburg.

Sharon M. McDonald was born on October 6, 1940 in Ogdensburg, NY.  She was the daughter of the late Frank and Arlie (Bressett) Hughes. She was a graduate of Ogdensburg Free Academy.  A marriage to Richard D. McDonald ended in Divorce.  Richard died in 2015. She worked as a secretary for ACCO Brands and she retired from Newells Co. 

She is survived by her two daughters; Nicole Newton and her husband Michael and Sherie McDonald Crosby, both of Ogdensburg.  She is survived by her brothers; Robert Hughes of Florida and Francis Hughes of Syracuse, her sisters; Paula Landingham of Ogdensburg and Phyllis MacIntosh of Plymouth, NY.  Three grandchildren; Jessica Denny and her husband Greg of Ogdensburg, Whitney Crosby  and David Williams of Tupper Lake  and Jarika Newton of Ogdensburg.  Three great grandchildren also survive her; Sawyer and Easton Denny and Blake Young; and special nephews; John, Mike, Judd Fran and Tracy.

She was predeceased by a brother; Kermit Hughes in 2006, a sister, Muriel Stowell in 2008 and a brother-in-law Earl MacIntosh.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
