Dear Family and friends,
I couldn't help but notice the passing of Mrs. Ruth in the local newspaper. It's so evident she did much for her family and community. I loved seeing that she was able to live a nice long life, but no matter the age, it's always so very sad to lose someone in death we love. I was hoping to share a scripture that brought me much comport when I had lost someone in death. It was at Revelation 21:4, it tells of a time when God will, " wipe away every tear" and when, "death will be no more." I know I really look forward to this time in the future, and I hope it can bring you some comfort as well. Please know you're in our families thoughts and prayers.

Mrs. Griswold was such an indomitable spirit. We have remembered how she would sling her book bag full of books over her shoulder and off she would go. When she started coming in on Fridays after her hair appointment and some of our staff mentioned they missed seeing her because of lunch, she pointed out she missed us as well but she was not going to change her hair appointment. She will be remembered with great fondness.

What a nice picture of Ruth in the newspaper. The obituary was very, very nice, well worth the effort, and a great tribute to their lives. Im so pleased that it was so special. Yet, it can only do so much to honor her. She was far more than words could ever properly portray. She was kind, incredibly thoughtful and generous in spirit and deed. She had a keen sense of humor. She was a loving wife, and a caring parent who raised a beautiful family. She was a conscientious teacher who molded many young minds. She was a wonderful neighbor and friend who helped shepherd our little neighborhood flock, and she will be missed every day by all who knew her. Im so pleased she was with us for so long, but I am so sad that our time with her is ended.
Peace to all of you in your family. Know that she was loved.

Mrs. Griswold will be missed so much at the library. I, especially, looked forward to her visits and her selections of requested books always helped me to provide other books she might have an interest in reading. And sometimes those requests surprised me and made me laugh. Many of us would come out of the staff room to just say hello to her; she was a very endearing patron. We were all blessed and graced by her humor and presence. I will miss her very much. My heartfelt and deepest condolences to the family.
