OGDENSBURG-Funeral services for Robert E. Crosby, 71, of Ogdensburg will be private.   Mr. Crosby died Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center in Ogdensburg.

Arrangements are under the direction of LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home, Ogdensburg.

Robert E. Crosby was born on October 7, 1945 in Ogdensburg, New York.   He was the son of the late John and Verda (Newcombe) Crosby.  Robert served in the United States Navy.     He worked for the Morristown Central School District as the supervisor of Buildings and Grounds.    He was an avid reader and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Robert is survived by his wife, Sherry Main, his children; Matt Crosby and his wife Jamie of Massena, Mark Crosby and his wife Shannon of Ogdensburg, Robert Crosby and his wife Corrina of Hammond, Tammy Conger and her husband Rick of Ogdensburg, Brian Epprecht and his wife Kimberly of Corning, NY, Terry Porter and her husband Dave of Ogdensburg, Sean Epprecht of Ogdensburg.   He is survived by his siblings; Lynn Crosby of Morristown, Cecile Crosby of Brier Hill, Elma Heming of Long Island, Rosie Schroh of Morristown, Sylvia Crosby of Morristown and Katherine Barse of Morristown.  He is also survived by several grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.  Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive him.

He was predeceased by his daughters; Sherry Bouchey and Bethany Crosby and his siblings John, Joseph. Barney, Beula, Pat and Verda.
