A Memorial Service for Robert L. Brown, 60, of Ogdensburg, NY will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home, 324 New York Ave, Ogdensburg, NY with Deacon Mark Lalonde officiating. Calling hours will be held from noon until 2 p.m. Burial will be private.
Mr. Brown died unexpectedly on Wednesday June 14, 2017 at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center after being stricken at home. Arrangements are under the direction of LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home.
Robert L. Brown was born on March 3, 1957 in Ogdensburg, NY. He was the son of the late Lawrence and Jeannette (Lemaire) Brown. He was a 1975 graduate of Heuvelton Central School. On September 21, 1987 he married Millie S. Terrance at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Ogdensburg before Rev. Phillip Allen. He worked in construction early in his career, but due to health issues was unable to remain in the workforce. Robert loved gardening, fishing, music and playing the guitar. He was a big supporter of the "Save The River Campaign". Most of all Robert loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Robert is survived by his wife Millie (Sue) Brown, his stepson Derek (Nikki) McNamara of Galesburg, IL and his son Robert Brown Jr. of Ogdensburg, NY; grandchildren: Zoe, Miya, and Isabella Marie; brothers: Dr. Thomas Brown (Danyelle) of Greenfield Park, Quebec, James (Laura) Brown of Lisbon, and Lyle Brown of Heuvelton, NY; sisters: Marie (Ron) Duvall of Columbia, MD, Elizabeth (Dr. K. S. Rao) of Centerville, OH, Susan (Richard) Todd of Canton, NY, Louise (Leo) Rava of Potsdam, NY, Emily (Joe) Sharlow of Waddington, NY, and Anita (Dan) Merrill of Heuvelton, NY. Robert is also survived by many brothers and sisters-in-law on the Terrance side of his family as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
