Richard A. LaFlair, 79, of Ogdensburg, died on February 13th, 2015 at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center. There will be no services. He is survived by his wife, Katherine, sons Richard Lee LaFlair of Ogdensburg, Dwayne Allen LaFlair of Ogdensburg and Dana Lewis and his wife Janine LaFlair of Ogdensburg, a daughter, Tami May and her husband Michael Moran of Alpine, Texas, a brother, Raymond LaFlair of Rochester, a sister, Donna Dancause of Star Lake, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Kimberly Ann LaFlair. Richard was born on August 28, 1935 in Ogdensburg, the son of Abner and Iva Bresette LaFlair. He graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy. Richard was in the United States Army from 1956 -1959. He married Katherine Cassidy on January 23, 1956 in Edgeville, South Carolina. Richard was a Sargent in the Ogdensburg Police Department, for over 20 years. He was member of the Flower Hill Hunting Club and AMVETS Post 19. Richard loved hunting, fishing, and picking on people, he was warmly known as Mr. Miserable. Contributions can be made to Operation Smile or St. Jude's Children Hospital.
