April 20, 1945 — July 25, 2017

MASSENA-Funeral Services for Paul A. LaRock, 72, of Massena will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 6 p.m. at the LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home 324 New York Ave. Ogdensburg with Deacon Mark Lalonde officiating.  Calling hours will be held from 3 p.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will be held on Saturday July 29, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Pine Hill Cemetery, Eel Weir where full military honors will be accorded.

Mr. LaRock died on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.

Arrangements are under the direction of LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home, Ogdensburg.

Paul A. LaRock was born on April 20, 1945 in Lisbon, NY the son of the late Maurice and Arene (Peters) LaRock.  He attended Lisbon Schools.  He served in the United States Army from 1965 until 1967 in the Vietnam War.   He was a member of the VFW and loved riding his motorcycle.  He enjoyed his weekly lunch visits with his brothers and sisters, most of all he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his son; Paul A. LaRock Jr. and his wife Terri of Chase Mills, his daughter, Holly Ovitt of Connecticut.  He is survived by his brother, Leon LaRock of Ogdensburg and his sisters; Tuddy Holland of Winthrop, Pauline Wing of Ogdensburg and Barbara Gould of Ogdensburg.  His grandchildren; Adam LaRock of Potsdam, Chelsea Brown of Louisville and Sarah LaRock and Lindsey Brown of Canton and great grandchildren; Cash Garno, Aidan Pierece and Cali Adams also survive him.  Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins.  

He was predeceased by his brothers; Junior and Wesley LaRock and his sisters; Kathryn Harper, Dorothy Brander, Florence Bogart, Rachel Beldock and Beverly Wells.

Donations in Paul’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
