OGDENSBURG-Graveside services for Patricia J. Gagnon, 75, of Ogdensburg will be held on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 1 p.m. at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Ogdensburg, with Rev. F. James Shurtleff officiating. Mrs. Gagnon died on September 12, 2017 at Canton-Potsdam Hospital.
Arrangements are under the direction of LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home.
Patricia J. Gagnon was born on May 21, 1942 in Ogdensburg. She was the daughter of the late Joseph P. and Alice J. (Spriggs) Montana. She was a graduate of Ogdensburg Free Academy and worked for United Helpers as a Physical Therapy Aide for nearly 30 years. She married Norman Gagnon on January 11, 1964 at Notre Dame Church with Msgr. Charbonneau officiating. She was a parishioner of Notre Dame Church and loved gardening, fishing and holding family gatherings. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and more than anything she enjoyed spending time with them.
She is survived by her sons; Norman Joseph Gagnon and Michael Gagnon of Ogdensburg, her grandchildren; Tony (Alicia) Gagnon of Swedesboro, NJ and Matia (David) Kinch of Rensselaer Falls, NY. Also surviving are her great grandchildren; Neveah, Onri, Brody, Asher, Serenity, Asilynn, and Davey Joe. Step sisters; Vickie Sharpe and Val (Randy) Bean, Step-brothers; Mike (Robin) Smith, Steve (Anne) Hurst and Doug (Martha) Smith also survive her. The family would also like to mention her good friends; Cindy Russell and Audrey Szafranski and extend their gratitude to Debbie Montgomery and family.
She was predeceased by her parents; Joseph and Alice Montana, her step father Jack Smith and her brother, Anthony Montana.
