Ogdensburg- Marilyn R. LaFlair, 78, of 515 Jersey Ave, died peacefully on Friday, December 13, 2019 at home surrounded by her loved ones and Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley. She was born on December 28, 1940 in Ogdensburg, NY to the late Frederick E. & Genevieve (Fortin) LaFlair. She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy, in Ogdensburg. She retired after 28 years of dedicated service from the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center where she was employed as a Mental Health Therapy Aide.
Marilyn is survived by her companion, Bill Crump, Ogdensburg; a daughter Denise M. Carpenter, Grovetown, Georgia; and a son, Ronald J. Lesperance, Ogdensburg; and several grandchildren, Jordin Marie Carpenter, Mackenzie Marilyn Rose Carpenter, Tona Marie, Jenni Measheaw-Vaughan, John Measheaw Jr. and many nieces and nephews and beloved cousins.
She is predeceased by two children: Jenny Lynn (Measheaw) Sutton and Robert A. Lesperance, Jr.
Marilyn is a member of the Notre Dame Catholic Church. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting baby clothes, ceramics and an occasional run to the casino.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 from 3:00pm-6:00pm at the LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home Inc., located at 324 New York Avenue, Ogdensburg, NY 13669. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at 11:00am with the Reverend Joseph A. Morgan, St. Mary’s Pastor, will be held at the Notre Dame Catholic Church, located at 125 Ford Ave, Ogdensburg, NY 13669. Burial will follow in the Notre Dame Cemetery.
