Luella A. Denny

Luella A. Denny, 100, Ogdensburg, died on September 17, 2014, at Riverledge Health Care and Rehabilitation Facility. Calling hours will be Saturday, September 20, 2014, 11 am - 1 PM,at the funeral home, the funeral service will be at 1:00 PM, Reverend Thomas Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in Ogdensburgh Cemetery. Luella is survived by sons, Donald Dunn of Harrison, Ohio, Ronald Dunn of Ogdensburg, Wayne Dunn of Clinton, Wendell Dunn of Verona, daughters, Judy Rutherford of Harrison, Ohio, Deanne and Allen Powers of Ogdensburg, Kathleen Waite of Ogdensburg, a daughter in law, Janet Dunn of Whitesboro, 15 grandchildren, many great and great great grandchildren, several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by sons, Robert Dunn and Wally Dunn, a daughter, Mary Dunn, siblings, Richard Dwight, Charles Dwight, Harry Dwight, Dorothy Ramsdale and Marion LaRue. Luella was born on March 28, 1914 in Canton, New York, the daughter of Charles and Ella Hall Dwight. After graduating from high school she attended Drake's Business College in New Jersey graduating in 1929. A marriage to James Dunn ended in divorce, she then married Archie Denny in Ogdensburg on September 1, 1967, he died on May 30, 1971. She was a homemaker loved listening to the news and gospel music.
