LISBON-Graveside services for Lloyd S. Parmeter Sr., 67, of Lisbon will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017 at Notre Dame Cemetery in Ogdensburg with Deacon Mark Lalonde officiating.
Mr. Parmeter died on Friday, May 19th, 2017 at his home following a long illness.
Arrangements are under the direction of LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home.
Lloyd S. Parmeter Sr. was born on June 11, 1949 in Waddington, NY. He was the son of the late Howard and Edna (Middlemiss) Parmeter. He attended Waddington Schools. He worked as a mechanic at the Lisbon Tire Mart and for many years after as a farmer on the Nelson Farm in Lisbon. On May 26, 1979 he married Mary Sheilyn O’Grady at the Congregational Church in Lisbon. Mary died on December 22, 2002. Lloyd enjoyed fishing, hunting, darts, cards, gardening and baseball. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his sons; Lloyd Parmeter Jr. and his companion Briony Hobkirk of Lisbon, Dennis Parmeter and his companion Amber LaRock of Ogdensburg. He is survived by his daughters; Tammy Bond of Florida, Sheilyn “Charlie” Hall and her husband Terry of Michigan and Heather Sovie and her husband Shawn of Ogdensburg. He is survived by his brothers; Walter(Evvy), Arthur(Elizabeth), Donald, Elmer(Eleanor), Raymond, Ronald, Bruce (Tonya), John, James(Laura), Stuart(Blondie), Richard Parmeter. He is also survived by his sisters; Donna Parmeter, Katherine Marcellus, Bonnie Brock, Rosemary Savage and Beatrice (Hollis) Mason. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brothers; William, Marvin and Wilfred Parmeter and his sisters; Linda Hicks and Barbara Meashaw.
