Karen Ann Morley- Harris

OGDENSBURG- Karen A. Morley Harris, 64, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at her home. Karen was born in Ogdensburg, NY on January 23, 1959, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bruce J. Marie (Robertson) Morley.

A Graveside Service for close family members and friends will be held on Saturday September, 30th, 2023 at 11:00am in the Ogdensburgh Cemetery where she will be laid to rest alongside her parents.

Karen is a 1977 graduate of Ogdensburg Free Academy and then went on to study at Mater Dei College, class of 1979. She married Daniel Scott Harris, on July 2, 1988, at the St. John's Episcopal Church in Ogdensburg, with Father David Moyer, officiating.

She was employed by Ferrand’s Flowers and later at ComPas as the lead hand in Quality Assurance, retiring in 1997.

Karen was a member of the St. John’s Episcopal Church. She enjoyed spending time at her camp in Cranberry Lake, riding ATVs and snowmobiling. She loved the outdoors, particularly flowers and gardening and knew every plant and flower in her yard.  Her love for flowers could be seen in the beautiful flower arrangements she created.  Karen was an avid photographer, entering many of her photos taken on her visits to Cranberry Lake in photography contests.

Karen was a dog lover, especially her dogs Shane, Shauna, Carson, Bailey, and Brodee and had many other hobbies and interests including baking, crafting, scrapbooking, and watching the New York Yankees. Those closest to Karen would describe her as a sweet and loving person.

She was predeceased by her parents, Bruce, and Marie Morley.  Karen is survived by her husband Daniel Harris; a sister Susan MacMartin (Steven); two nieces, Ashleigh MacMartin, and Whitney Boyer (Edward); nephew, Killian MacMartin and two great-nephews Edward George Boyer, V and Jamison Boyer.
