Joseph R. "Joe" Brenno, 59, of Ogdensburg, died at his home surrounded by his loving family on July 22, 2013. There will be a memorial graveside service at Notre Dame Cemetery on August 10, 2013 at 10:00 am, Father James Shurtleff officiating. Joe is survived by his wife, Robin M., sons, Joseph R. Brenno II and wife Shawna of Ogdensburg, Jacob Brenno of Ogdensburg, a daughter Jill Brenno of Watertown, stepsons, Gordon and wife Jessica Lalonde, NJ, Jon and wife Amanda Lalonde, Baldwinsville, Lee Lalonde, Baldwinsville, brothers, Donald Brenno, Ogdensburg, Timothy and wife Anna Brenno, TN, sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" and husband Patrick Gillman, Ogdensburg, Gloria Lavery, Brockville, Ontario, Sueanne "Sue" and husband Christopher Duffy, PA, Julie Trotter, Ogdensburg, Lauralee and husband Shawn Mackey, Ogdensburg, grandchildren, Nevin Parish, Tessa Brenno, Mitchell Brenno and Collin Brenno, step grandchildren, Ashley Carter, Mario Lalonde, Jenna Lalonde, Jadyn Lalonde, Tyler Lalonde, Jack Lalonde and Noah Lalonde, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Rochelle Brenno, brothers, William "Bill" Brenno, Basil Brenno, and Thomas Brenno, and a sister, Dawn Palangi. Joseph was born on September 16, 1953 in Ogdensburg, the son of Frank and Elizabeth Kiah Brenno. He graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1972. He married Robin Gibson, on May 4, 2009 in Ogdensburg, a marriage to Sue E. Carr ended in divorce. Joe worked at United Helpers Nursing Home, Ogdensburg and prior to that at Diamond National as a factory worker and as a mechanic at Don's Garage. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and watching them all play ball. He loved his dogs, watching sports, especially the Yankees and Giants, playing cards, fishing, riding in the car, and playing ball (fast pitch for Angelo's and slow pitch for Club "O"). Contributions can be made to the SPCA, the Kiwanis Sports Program or the Ogdensburg VFW Post.
