John E. Caloren

John E. Caloren, 81, of Ogdensburg, died, February 28, 2013, at his home. Calling hours will be, Sunday, March 3, 1 -3 PM; the funeral service will be at 3 PM, Pastor Rusty Bissell officiating. John is survived by his wife, Nancy, sons, Paul Caloren and companion Roxanne LaForty, Potsdam, Thomas Caloren, Ogdensburg, daughters, Tampa and husband Derek Stewart, Johnson City, Judy and husband Harry Flagg, Ogdensburg, a sister, Linda and husband Thomas Caloren Shannon, Morristown, grandchildren, Misty and husband Shawn Lovely, Terry Flagg, Patrick Flagg, Chanel Stewart, Chase Stewart, Chad Stewart, Charity Stewart, Tasha Caloren, Austin Caloren, great grandchildren, Ariel Mooney, Jasmine Mooney, Brooke Staie, Aaron Stair, Rachael Oliver, Zachary Meeker, Julian Meeker, McKenzie Harrington, Caia Stewart, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Marie Dingman and a brother, Robert Caloren. John was born on December 17, 1931 in Ogdensburg, the son of John and Emma Shields Caloren. He married Nancy F. Jandreau on June 28, 1958 at St. Mary's Cathedral, Ogdensburg, Father Degan officiating. He was a laborer for the City of Ogdensburg for 23+ years until his retirement in 1989. He was a member of CSEA. He loved his grandchildren, reading books , especially the bible, watching westerns and the 700 Club, Oscar's Fish Fry, coffee, and his cigarettes. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley and the American Diabetes Association.
