Graveside services for Jeffrey W. Brenno, 60, of Ogdensburg will be held on Tuesday December 6, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Ogdensburg Cemetery with Rev. F. James Shurtleff officiating.  A celebration of life will follow the graveside service at the VFW in Ogdensburg.  Mr. Brenno died unexpectedly at his home on November 29, 2016.   In keeping with his wishes there will be no public calling hours.

Arrangements are under the direction of LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home, Ogdensburg.

Jeffrey W. Brenno was born on May 4, 1956 in Ogdensburg, he was the son of the William and Elaine (Lovely) Brenno.  He was a graduate of Ogdensburg Free Academy and enlisted in the United States Navy following high school.   He served proudly on the U.S.S. John F. Kennedy with duty stations from New Orleans, Louisiana to Norfolk, Virginia.  He earned many merits for his duties and was honorably discharged  in 1980.  He owned a Moore’s Cheese Factory in Russell for a period of time and will be remembered as a fantastic cook at many local restaurants in the Ogdensburg area, including; The Lakeside, Busters Sports Bar and the Freight House.  He was an avid New York Giants fan and enjoyed playing Quick Draw and gambling, most of all enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

 

He is survived by his children; Tanesha Brenno and her companion Jeremy Barkley of Plattsburgh, Nick Brenno and his companion Sarah Borawski of Syracuse, Lanie Folsom and her husband Kris and Frankki Massia, he is survived by his mother Elaine Brenno of Ogdensburg and his siblings; Cheryl (John) Hammill,  Billie Jo Brenno and her companion Butch Brothers, Lisa (Vince) Schittino, Angela (Brian) Dezell, Todd (Amy) Brenno and Mike (Mary) Brenno.  He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, nieces, nephews, goddaughters, cousins, aunts and uncles as well has other family and cherished friends.

He was predeceased by his father William Brenno, his son Geoffrey Brenno and his granddaughter Aubrey.
