She was employed at Diamond International for over twenty years, and then worked at Ogdensburg Bridge & Port Authority for many years until her retirement.
Jean was a caring and loving mother and grandmother and was known for her sense of humor and sweet personality.
She was predeceased by her husband of fifty years, Russell H. Strader; her brother Harold Cameron; and her sisters Edna Fournier and Willa Little.
Jean is survived by her son, Paul (Shelley) Strader of Cicero; grandchildren Sean, Ryan and Connor Strader; and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the staff at United Helpers for their outstanding care and compassion and her friend Holly Myers and niece Sharon Hutchcroft for all their help and support.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Allen-Nichols Funeral Home, Ogdensburg, Father Michael O'Donnell officiating. Entombment to follow services at Foxwood Mausoleum.
Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
