Janet Woodward Derouchia

NORFOLK- Janet Woodward Derouchia, 83, of Norfolk died on September 17, 2019, at her home, surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley.  A private graveside service at Riverside Cemetery, Norwood will be held.

Arrangements are under the direction of LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home, Ogdensburg.

Janet W. Derouchia was born on July 14, 1936, in Potsdam, NY.  She was the daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth (Baum) Woodward.  She attended local schools.  Janet was married to Allen Derouchia for 35 years, he passed away on March 26, 2007.  She worked as a food service worker for SUNY Potsdam in the Pacey Dining Hall for 25 years.  She was an avid Doll collector, she loved garage sales, crocheting and was proud to have never missed a day of work.

She is survived by her children; Christopher A. Derouchia and his wife Julie of Waddington, Shelley Robinson and her husband Terry of Norfolk, Vickey Cote and her husband Joseph of Raymondville and Tamara Armstrong and her husband Bobby of Laneville, TX.  She is survived by her siblings Gail Meader and her husband Newbry of Norwood and Edwin Woodward and his wife Linda of Rockhill, South Carolina.  She is also survived by eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two grandchildren; Dodie Derouchia and Jamie Jo Ladison. Also by her brothers Joseph and Barry Woodward.
