Jane E. Willard

OGDENSBURG- Jane E. Willard, 82, formerly of 315 Jersey Avenue and Riverledge Nursing Home, died peacefully on January 12, 2019 at the Claxton Hepburn Medical Center with her family at her side. 

Jane was born on December 11, 1936 to the late Myles Delbert & Floris Alberta (Gilson) Griffith.  She graduated from Hermon Dekalb school in 1953.  She attended Nursing School at A. Barton Hepburn Hospital in 1954.  She was employed by Cedars Nursing Home as a Licensed Practical Nurse retiring in 1996. A marriage to Richard Willard ended in divorce.

She is survived by several children; Ruth (Scott) Kimbrel, Tucson Arizona; Sue (Richard) Bouchey, Ogdensburg; Tom Willard, Rhode Island; Bob (Marie) Willard, Maryland; Mary Beth (Brad) Toomey, Dekalb; Rebecca (Terry) Taberski, Canton; and Donna Morrow, Ogdensburg; a brother Richard Griffith, Lady Lake, Florida; and 17-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law, Jean Griffith.

She is predeceased by her parents, a brother Robert Griffith, and a son-law- Rob Morrow and Granddaughter Kaitlyn Toomey.

She enjoyed crocheting and painting. She was a Member of the Order of the Eastern Stars in Waddington for over 50 years.

There will be no public calling hours a graveside service will be private in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Heuvelton in the spring.
