Harriette M. Paro, 95, of Ogdensburg, died on April 12, 2014, at the Riverledge Health Care Facility. Calling hours will be Monday, April 21, 2014, 2 -4 and 7 -9 PM, at 7:30 PM there will be an Oddfellow's and Rebekah's service. The funeral service will be April 22, 2014,10:30 am at the funeral home, Pastor David Hart officiating, burial will follow in South Edwards Cemetery. She is survived by her sons, Kenneth and his wife Evelyn McWilliams of Ogdensburg, Carlton and his wife Ann McWilliams of The Villages, Florida, daughters, Marie and her husband Edward Sovie of Ogdensburg, Donelda and her husband Wayne Drosky of Buergen, New York, Dixie and her husband Duane Adams of Ogdensburg, 24 grand children, several great and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Melvin Bray, Henry Bray and Worden Bray, sisters, Ella Nichols and Rose Cooper. Harriette was born in Edwards, on October 29, 1918, the daughter of Melvin and Hattie Coloney Lake. She married Russell H. McWilliams on November 16, 1934, he died on July 23, 1971, she then married Albert Paro in 1974, he died in 1987. She was a clothing room clerk at the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center. Harriette was a member of the First Congregational Church in Ogdensburg, the Order of Eastern Star in Heuvelton, a lifetime member of the Maple City Chapter #71 Order of Eastern Star, Senior Citizens in Ogdensburg, Seaway Lodge #41 IOOF, and Rebekah Lodge #129 IOOF. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, traveling and working bingo at The Oddfellows Lodge.
