Harold G. Planty

Harold G. Planty, 58, Ogdensburg, died on July 25, 2014, at his home. Calling hours will be Monday, July 28, 2014, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM at the funeral home, a funeral mass will be at 10:00 am, Tuesday, July 29th, at Notre Dame Church, Father James Shurtleff officiating. Burial will follow in Foxwood Memorial Park with military honors. Harold is survived by his wife, Rosanne Planty, sons, Harold G. and Melissa Planty Jr., Ogdensburg, Ray Planty, Canton, daughters, Tammy Planty, Ogdensburg, Amber and Steve VanGorden, Ogdensburg, brothers, Jeff Planty, Florida, Mark Planty, Ogdensburg, a sister, Kathy Gilkey, Syracuse, grandchildren, Lindsey Murphy, Zachary Grenier, Austin VanGorden, Rileigh Planty, Skylar Planty, Tristan Lovely, Logan VanGorden, Raven Planty, Phoenix Planty and Sophia Planty, several nephews and nieces. He was born on February 15, 1956 in Ogdensburg, the son of Ray and Dolores Ross Planty. Harold was in the US Navy from 1973 -1979. On August 16, 1974 he married Rosanne Terrance at Notre Dame Church. He was a warehouse worker for Acco Brands in Ogdensburg. He was a member of the AMVETS and American Legion in Ogdensburg.
