Grace G. Green

OGDENSBURG- Graveside services for Grace G. Green, 97, formerly of the Haggart Road, Ogdensburg will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the East Dekalb Cemetery.  Mrs. Green died on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Riverledge Nursing Home.  

Arrangements are under the direction of LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home.

Grace was born on March 12, 1920 in Macomb, she was the daughter Charles and May (Flight) Burnham.  She attended a country school.  On September 16, 1936 she married Carl L. Green. Carl died on February 19, 1992.  Grace was a long time member of the Presbyterian Stone Church and enjoyed crocheting, sewing, embroidery, knitting, gardening and reading.   

She is survived by her sons; Milton Green of Hammond, Melvin Green and his wife Teresa of Heuvelton.  She is also survived by her daughters;  Marion LaFirst of Ogdensburg and Connie Green-Jacques of Texas.  Seventeen grandchildren, many great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews survive her.

She was predeceased by her husband Carl L. Green and her sons; Ronald and Victor Green.  She was also predeceased by her siblings; Alice Denny, Mildred Adams, Margaret Erwin, Mary Burnham and Guy Burnham.
