Francis "Frank" E. Stevens

OGDENSBURG- Francis E. “Frank” Stevens, 61, of Ogdensburg died on April 11, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family and under the care of Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley.

Funeral services will be private.

Arrangements are under the direction of LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home.

Frank was born on August 25, 1955 in Watertown, NY.  He was the son of Richard Lont and Alice Stevens.   He was a 1975 graduate of Alexandria Bay High School.  He lived in Florida for a period of time and worked in various hotels as a life guard.  In 1980 he moved back to Ogdensburg where he held many jobs over the past 37 years, from Pepsi-Cola, Sears, RJ’s, Buster’s Sports Bar.  Most recently he served as a taxi cab driver for Carry-All Taxi, G-Man’s Taxi and Bartman’s Taxi from which he retired due to failing health.  He enjoyed playing darts and watching Sunday Football, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He is survived by his wife Barbara “Charlie” Stevens, his mother Alice Stevens of Belleville, his daughter Toni Marie Stevens and her fiancé, Matt Lottie of Ogdensburg and his son, Scott Andrew Stevens of Ogdensburg.   He is survived by his siblings Sharon, Dawn, Sandy, Rhonda and Danny and Dale.  He is also survived by his granddaughter, Amelia Ann Marie Stevens.

He was pre-deceased by his brother Richard Lont Jr. and father, Richard Lont Sr.   He was also predeceased by his faithful pets Tipper and Rascal who are now at his side in Heaven.
