Eva M. McDonald

April 12, 1928 — August 29, 2016

LISBON-Funeral services for Eva M. McDonald, 88, of Lisbon will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 at the LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home at 2 p.m. with Rev. David Norman officiating.   Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Eel Weir.   A visitation will be held on Thursday September 1, 2016 from 5-8 P.M. at the LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home, Ogdensburg.   Mrs. McDonald died on August 29, 2016 at the Riverledge Nursing Home following a long illness.   

Arrangements are under the direction of LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home located at 324 New York Avenue, Ogdensburg.

Eva M. McDonald was born on April 12, 1928 in the Town of Oswegatchie, she is the daughter of the late Earl and Irene (Durham) Finley.  She attended local country schools and Ogdensburg Free Academy.  On June 16, 1949 she married Donald A. McDonald at the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Ogdensburg, Mr. McDonald died on December 27, 2010.  She was a member of the Morley Wesleyan Church, a leader in the 4H Club and loved reading and sewing, during her time at the nursing home she enjoyed doing puzzles.   She loved her family and her greatest joy in her life was seeing to their well-being.

She is survived by her sons Robert McDonald and his wife Patrice of Lisbon, David McDonald and his wife Charlene of Colton and Paul McDonald and his wife Gladys of Palmdale, CA.   She is survived by her daughters; Janet Livingston and her husband Jay of Lisbon.  She is survived by her brothers; Gerald Finley and his wife Lynne of Syracuse and Maynard Finley and his wife Jean of Ogdensburg.   She is survived by her sisters; Viola Gilson of Dekalb Junction and Ella Finley of Ogdensburg.   

She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Donald McDonald, her son; Duane McDonald, her daughter; Denise Burrows, her brothers; Claude and Robert Finley and her sisters; Dorothy Finley and Doris Johnston.
