Edward Martin

Edward Martin, 65, of Ogdensburg, died February 27, 2011, at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center. Allen-Nichols Funeral Home, Ogdensburg, is in care of arrangements. There will be no services. He will be buried at St. Mary's Cemetery in the spring.

Edward is survived by his wife, Janette; daughters Rebecca Martin (companion James McCready), Lisbon, and Debra Martin (companion Ronald Langley), Ogdensburg; grandchildren Jesse Martin and Spencer Mayette; sisters Susan (David) House, Heuvelton, and Cathy French, Lisbon; and several nieces and nephews.

He was born May 8, 1945 in Ogdensburg, the child of Edward and Jean Pray Martin. He graduated from Lisbon Central School. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He married Janette Mayne, July 18, 1967, in Heuvelton. He delivered newspapers for the Ogdensburg Journal, prior to that he was a custodian in Ogdensburg, for St. Lawrence Lewis County BOCES, and was a highway laborer for the Town of Lisbon.

He enjoyed hunting with his cousin, photography, using computers, going to garage sales and auctions.
