Mansel G. Earl, 73, of Ogdensburg, died April 14, 2011, at the Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center.
Allen-Nichols Funeral Home, Ogdensburg, is in care of arrangements.
Calling hours will be Sunday, April 17, 2011, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
The funeral service will be Monday, April 18, 2011, 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Father James Shurtleff officiating. Burial will be in Ogdensburg Cemetery.
Mansel is survived by his wife Carol; son Dale (Synda) Earl, Ogdensburg; daughter Cathy (Kent) Pliner, Ogdensburg; brother, Ronald J. Earl, Camden, Eleanor Earl, Florida; grandchildren, Brian Earl, Shannan Earl, Autumn (Justin) Katura, Holly Pliner; great grandchildren, Trent Katura and Isabell Earl.
He was predeceased by a brother, Carl F. Earl, and a sister, Wanda J. Earl.
He was born March 31, 1938 in Ogdensburg, the child of Frederick and Helen Rheome Earl. He married Carol Pribble, July 8, 1961 in Ogdensburg.
He was a construction laborer.
He loved to hunt, fish, go camping, go to the casino, and was a CB radio ham. His handle was "Gun smoke."
