Earl P. Dawley, 86, of Lisbon, died on April 14, 2015 at Spicer Adult Home. Calling hours will be Friday, April 17th, 3 – 7 PM, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Martin Cemetery. He is survived by his sons, Stephen and his wife Terry Dawley of Ogdensburg, Danny Dawley of Buffalo, daughters, Darlene and her husband Danny Robinson of Hendersonville, North Carolina, Dawn and her husband Thomas Latimer of Canton, Sue and her husband Wayne Darrah of Morley, a brother, Vernon and his wife Ella Dawley of Lisbon, sisters, Vivian Coons of Lisbon, Mary and her husband Gordan Dickinson of Heuvelton, Phyllis Bice of Tennessee, 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, David Dawley, brothers, Robert Dawley, Kenneth Dawley, William Dawley, sisters, Ellen Martin, Jean Fields, June Kelly, and a grandson Dave Dawley. Earl was born on January 21, 1929 in Lisbon, the son of Leon and Carrie Bulson Dawley. He graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy. He married Juanita Winters on February 25, 1950 in Heuvelton, Reverend Bowers officiating, she predeceased him on March 6, 1997. Earl owned and operated a farm on the Lisbon-Morley Road until he retired in 1980, he also worked at Reynolds Metals as a pot room worker, as a truck driver for Deluxe Freightways, and as a carpenter after he retired. He was a member of the Nevin Memorial Church, the Lisbon American Legion, and a board member of the Martin Cemetery. He loved picking on his grandchildren, having a good time, playing cards and snowmobiling.
