MASSENA-Funeral services for Dodie H. Derouchia, 37, of Massena will be private.  Ms. Derouchia died unexpectedly on Thursday October 27, 2016 at her home.

Arrangements are under the direction of LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home, Ogdensburg.

Dodie H. Derouchia was born on June 5, 1979 in Massena, she was the daughter of Christopher A. and Bethany G. (VanKennen) Derouchia.  She attended local schools and earned her Licensed Vocational Nurse degree while living in Texas.   She was an avid collector of craft decorations and antiques.  Dodie will be remembered as a free spirit and a kind soul.  She had an affinity for animals and their welfare.  

She is survived by her father Christopher A. Derouchia and his wife Julie of Waddington, her mother Bethany G. Derouchia of Massena, her sister Darcy Wisniewski and her husband Michael of Fountain Hills of Arizona and her brother Christopher A. Derouchia II of Metairie, Louisiana.  She is survived by her paternal grandmother Janet Woodward Derouchia of Norfolk, NY.   She is also survived by many Aunts, Uncle and Cousins.  She also leaves behind her beloved dog "Charlie".
