David L. Griffith

Graveside Services for David L. Griffith, 62, of Ogdensburg will be held at a later date in Ogdensburg Cemetery.  Mr. Griffith died on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at his home following a long illness. 

Arrangements are under the direction of LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home.

David L. Griffith was born on April 1, 1960, in Ogdensburg, he was the son of the late Donald and Mary Margaret (Pollard) Griffith. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1981 until his honorable discharge in 1985.   He enjoyed fishing, was a member of the Marine Corps League and volunteered at the Salvation Army.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Griffith, special friend, Eva Schafer, his son, Matthew Griffith, his daughter Tara powers of massena and grandchildren;   Sophia and Lucas Powers.  His siblings; Donna (Tom) Dunn of Mattydale, Donald (Inga) Griffith Jr. of Texas, Henry (Kay) Griffith of Maryland, Lee (Lisa B.) Griffith of Ogdensburg, Dan (Lisa) Griffith of Ogdensburg, John (Ruthann) Griffith of Ogdensburg, Michael Griffith of Nashville, TN, and Scott (Carrie) Griffith of Cato, NY also survive him.

He was predeceased by his parents; Donald and Mary Margaret Griffith.
