Darlene D. Kinch

March 21, 1948 — July 5, 2017

OGDENSBURG- Darlene Dawn Kinch, 69, of 947 Elizabeth Street, died on Wednesday morning, July 5, 2017, at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse surrounded by her loving family. 

 

Arrangements are under the direction of LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home.

 

There will be no calling hours. A private service for immediate family will be held on Tuesday July 11, 2017.

 

Darlene was born on March 21, 1948 in Watertown, NY to the late Carroll F. & Pauline J. Lockwood Gushlaw. She attended Lisbon Central School. 

 

She married Daniel E. Kinch on September 19, 1965 at the Grace Presbyterian Church in Lisbon.  Darlene was employed for 28 years as a Food Service Worker at the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center before retiring in 2008.  She enjoyed bowling, shopping, weekly sister gatherings, and spending time with her family and friends.

 

Surviving is her husband Daniel of 52 years; four sons, Ronald Gushlaw (Lora Wade), Daren Kinch (Rhoda Murphy), Dwayne Kinch, and Bucky Kinch (Michelle Roberts); a daughter, Denise (Mark) Bishop; two brothers, Edward Gushlaw (Joan Handle), and Thomas (Claudia) Gushlaw; three sisters, Debra Taylor, Robin (Michael) Thayer, and Kim (Roy) Hatcher; eleven beloved grandchildren, Brittany (Andrew) Wieszczyk, Marc Bishop, Brandon Kinch, Brittany Murphy, Patrick Murphy, Kaila Jock, Elliot Roberts, Ryatt Roberts, Queenie, Kinger, and Elizabeth Spencer; five great-grandchildren, Blake Kinch, Jaslynn Murphy, Jack Pike, Quintin Murphy, and Ryker Edwin Murphy, and she was expecting a great-granddaughter in October. 

 

She is predeceased by her parents, Carroll & Pauline, and a sister Pamela Trombly.
