HEUVELTON-Funeral services for Charles “ Chuck” F. Roach, 62, of Heuvelton will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 4 p.m. at the LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home.  A visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.  Mr. Roach died unexpectedly on November 4, 2016 at the Claxton Hepburn Medical Center Emergency Room

 

Arrangements are under the direction of LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home, 324 New York Avenue, Ogdensburg.

 

Chuck was born on November 8, 1953 in Ogdensburg, NY.  He was the son of Earl and Barbara (LaFlair) Roach.  He attended Morristown Central School and graduated from Heuvelton Central School, Class of 1973.   Following graduation Chuck enlisted in the United States Air Force.   On April 20, 1974, he married Donna Smith in Morristown.     Chuck started his career with Eastman Kodak in Rochester, a position he kept for ten years before going into the refuse removal business.   Chuck along with Donna owned and operated Chuck’s Disposal Service “C.D.S.” for over 30 years, serving over 800 clients.   In Chuck’s leisure time, he was a member of the Northern New York Bassmasters and an avid hunter.  He enjoyed cooking and loved to work, but most of all he treasured the time spent with his friends and family.

 

Chuck is survived by his wife Donna Roach, his mother, Barbara Johnson of Heuvelton,  his two sons; Arond L. Roach of Champlain, NY and Chris C. Roach and his wife Angela of Depeyster.   He is survived by four grandsons; Eric, Connor, Parker and Landon.  He is survived by his sisters; Vivian Roach of Ogdensburg, Chris Lennox of Heuvelton, Barbara, Bayne and her husband James of Depeyster, Catherine Roach of Massena and Ronda VanOrman of Heuvelton.   He is survived by his brother Douglas Roach of Beaumont, TX and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

He was predeceased by his Father Earl Roach and his brother, Norman Roach.
