Funeral services for Carlton W. Wright. 90, of Canton and formerly of Ogdensburg will be held on Monday September 25, 2017  at 3 p.m. at the LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home, 324 New York Ave. Ogdensburg, with Pastor Ben Levendusky officiating.  Calling hours will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Canton.    Mr. Wright died on September 22, 2017 at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

Arrangements are under the direction of LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home.

Carlton W. Wright was born on April 12, 1927 in Hermon, NY.    He was the son of the late Mose and Laura (Allen) Wright.  In February of 1948 he married Sylvia Sharlow in Potsdam, NY.  Sylvia died on October 1, 2012.  He was self-employed as a Milk Hauler for most of his life.  He enjoyed working around his house, tinkering, mowing the lawn, gardening and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his sons; Larry (Nancy) Wright of Madrid, Carl (Ruth) Wright of Hermon, Donald (Lisa) Wright of Canton and Gene (Dolly) Wright of North Carolina.  He is survived by his daughters; Linda Durgan of Canton, Ruth (Vernon) Trudall of Lisbon, Rita Wright of Lisbon, Arlene Wright of Lisbon, Sherrie (Steve) Richards of Canton and Marsha (David) Gooshaw of Evans Mills, NY.  Also surviving are many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his wife Sylvia Wright, his sons; Randy and Leland Wright and his daughter Candace Wright.  He was also predeceased by his siblings; Fred, Jack, Buster and William Wright and Martha Baker and Arlene Wagstaff.

Donations in Carlton’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
