Carl D. Bailey

Carl D. Bailey, 77, of Waddington, died on July 10, 2014, at his home. Calling hours will be Monday, July 14, 2014, 12 -2 PM at the funeral home, a funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Lay Pastor John Frary officiating. Burial will follow in East Riverside Cemetery, Gouverneur, with military honors. Carl is survived by a son, Kevin D. and Karen Bailey, Massena, a daughter, Suzanne and Douglas LaRose, South Colton, grandchildren , Logan Bailey, Joshua Bailey, Drew LaRose, brothers, Lloyd C. and Jean Bailey, Las Vegas, Neveda, Thomas and Paula Bailey, Bow, New Hampshire, several nephews and nieces. He was born on March 24, 1937 in Gouverneur, the son of Thomas and Marion Phelps Bailey Sr. He graduated from Gouverneur High School and was in the Air Force from 1955-1959. Carl married Barbara Montroy on May 29, 1965 at Notre Dame Church, Ogdensburg, she died on July 14, 2013. He was a paste plant tender at Reynolds Metal, from November 1966 till his retirement in May 1999. He was a member of Cranberry Lake Fish and Game Club and the National Rifle Association. Contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to East Riverside Cemetery, Gouverneur or the Waddington Volunteer Rescue Squad.
