Brian E. Cash

OGDENSBURG-Funeral services for Brian E. Cash, 70, of Ogdensburg will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the First Congregational Church of Ogdensburg with Rev. Walter Smith and Pastor David Hart officiating.  Calling hours will be held from 2-7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at the LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home 324 New York Ave. Ogdensburg.  Burial will follow the funeral service in Ogdensburgh Cemetery with full military honors.    Mr. Cash died on Monday morning, October 2, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home.

Arrangements are under the direction of LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home, Ogdensburg.

Brian E. Cash was born on January 31, 1947 in Massena, New York.  He was the son of the late Douglas and Eileen (White) Cash.  He was a 1966 graduate of Massena Central School and was drafted into the United States Army.  On March 24, 1979, he married Mary Alice Davis in San Antonio, TX.   Brian was an over-the-road tractor trailer driver for his entire working career, working for various trucking companies.   Brian was a member of the First Congregational Church of Ogdensburg, he enjoyed painting, hiking, fishing, playing Chess and Texas Hold ‘em and running marathons.  He loved animals and from time to time would take in a stray.  Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Mary Alice Cash, his daughters; Rebecca Cash of Queensbury, Julie (Eric) Quinones of Ogdensburg, his grandchildren Davis Shannon and Rowan and Victor Quinones.  Brian is survived by his brothers; Ralph (Sharon) Cash of Massena and Craig (Lily) Cash of Alice, TX and his sisters; Arlene Martell of San Antonio, TX and Sally Cash of Massena.

He was predeceased by his sister, Eloise Cash
