Barbara A. Otis, 81, of Ogdensburg, died on February 19, 2016 at River Ledge Health Care , Ogdensburg. There will be a Memorial Mass,. March 19, 2016, 10 am at St. Mary's Cathedral, entombment will follow in Foxwood Memorial Park. She is survived by her son William and his wife Kathleen Otis of Ogdensburg, daughters, Sharlene Terrance of Heuvelton, Mary Bleau of Ogdensburg, Marie and her husband Michael Fitzpatrick of Ogdensburg, Catherine and her husband Richard Bell of Ogdensburg, 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Day, a sister, Gloria Day, grandchildren Jessica Bleau and Megan Fitzpatrick. Barbara was born on April 6, 1934 in Massena, New York, the daughter of Henry and Ruth Wickwire Day. She married James Otis in Pennsylvania in 1959; he died on January 5, 1999. Barbara was a personal care attendant at United Helpers Adult Home, she retired in 1996. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, and St. Mary's Cathedral. Barbara was never happier than when she was with her family and you could always rely on her to lift your spirits. She loved watching movies and sports and reading.
