Dear Pitcher family – I’m so sorry for your loss. “Mrs. Pitcher” was a beautiful woman who still means a lot to ‘her kids’ in Morristown. We’re all better people having known her.

Eddie, Curtis, Kathy, Nancy and Families, I’m so sorry for your loss. Your mother was such a special person an a wonderful part of my childhood. She instilled such a sense of curiosity, adventure, and optimism in me; as well as all the kids she cared for I’m sure. Some of my favorite memories were of how she could draw almost anything, freehand(!), for us to have personalized coloring sheets, her raking gigantic leaf piles for us to jump in, picking tiny wild strawberries together, the scent of canning tomatoes, and, happily, that I was able to introduce her to my infant son before she moved from Morristown. Thank you all for sharing your home and your loving mom with us. Much love to you all, Nicki (Bogardus) LaPlante

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mrs. Pitcher. I was so fortunate to have her as my sitter when I was a child. She was so much more than a person who simply watched us. She took us on field trips, drew special coloring sheets with our favorite characters (I specifically remember requesting Templeton the rat from Charlotte’s Web), made homemade donuts with us, and just helped guide us to be better people. I will always remember her fondly, she was an amazing lady!
