June 2, 1971 — September 2, 2018

Funeral services for April D. Brothers, 47, of Rensselaer Falls, will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at 12 p.m. at the LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home with Rev. Floyd F. McCallum Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow the service at the White Church Cemetery, Lisbon.   Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.  Mrs. Brothers died on Sunday evening, September 2, 2018, at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vermont.

Arrangements are under the direction of LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home.

April D. Brothers was born on June 2, 1971, in Malone, NY.  She was the daughter of Lindsey Addison and Jean (Fraser) Moncrief.  She attended Lisbon Central School and earned her G.E.D.  On August 10, 1992, she married Roger W. Brothers.   She was a member of the Lisbon Wesleyan Church.   She loved to babysit, playing bingo or any board game. She loved spending time at Lisbon Beach, coloring, reading and especially shopping.  She loved going to school events for her children at Lisbon Central School.  She loved her dog “Baby'’, her fish, her cat “Mittens” and other pet birds.  One of her greatest joys was singing, but her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.  

She is survived by her Husband of 27 years; Roger W. Brothers, her Father; Lindsey Addison and his wife Debbie Chapin of Ogdensburg and her mother Jean Moncrief of St. Regis Falls.  April is survived by her children; Joshua Brothers and his wife Patricia of Waddington, Jordan  Brothers and Matthew Brothers of Rensselaer Falls, NY Alicia Brothers and her fiancé’ of Canton and Justin Brothers of Rensselaer Falls.  Four beloved grandchildren also survive her; Krysta, Kole, Natalie and Peyton Brothers.   She is survived by her brother Mark Addison and his wife Ashley of North Carolina and stepsisters; April, Ashley and Tony Chapin.
