Anthony R. Montroy., 88, of Ogdensburg, died, March 19, 2012, at St. Joseph's Nursing Home, Allen-Nichols Funeral Home, entrusted with arrangements. There will be no services. Anthony is survived by sons, Richard (Shirley), Ogdensburg, Robert, Sylvan Beach , Larry (Debbie),Chittenango, Lee (Katie), Auburn, daughters, Sylvia Montroy and Diane (David) Thomas, Ogdensburg, Pamela Young, Oneida, sisters, Theresa Ploof, Burlington, VT, Barbara (Carl)Bailey, Waddington, brothers, Vincent, Ogdensburg, and Francis (Kate), West Parishville, 17 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson, Brian Montroy, and a brother, Raymond. Anthony was born May 29, 1923 in Ogdensburg, the son of Francis and Irene Ladouceur Montroy. He was a WWII Army Veteran and was self employed. He married Gladys St. John's on August 27, 1942 at Notre Dame Church; she died August 24, 2008. He was a member of Notre Dame Church, and the Ogdensburg American Legion, having served as a past commander. He loved to travel and garden. In lieu of flowers contributions can be contributions can be made to the St. Joseph's Foundation.
