POTSDAM/NEW ROCHELLE- A Funeral service for Anna B. Bush, 90, of Potsdam and formerly of New Rochelle will be held on Sunday January 8th,2017  at 4 p.m. at the LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home, 324 New York Avenue, Ogdensburg.  Rev. Pieter Visscher will officiate the service.  A visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will be in the spring at the Pine Hill Cemetery, Eel Weir.   Ms. Bush died Tuesday evening, January 3rd, 2017 at the Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.

Arrangements are under the direction of LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home, Ogdensburg.

Anna B. Bush was born on October 7, 1926 in Rensselaer Falls, NY in the town of Canton.  She was the daughter of the late Clark and Evelyn (Smithers) Bush.  She was a 1944 graduate of Rensselaer Falls High School and a 1946 graduate of Canton ATI.  Anna served an internship with Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester in the Dietary Department and went on to work for the New Rochelle Hospital in 1947, from where she would retire as the head of the Dietary Program after 45 years of service.  After her retirement she remained in New Rochelle and in 2012 she moved to Potsdam, where she lived for the past four years.    Anna was an avid New York Yankees fan, she loved politics and current events, old time Country Western Music and was a fan of the Rush Limbaugh show.

Anna is survived by her sister; Leila Hastings of Morley, her brother; Robert Bush of Sarasota, FL, her sisters-in-law; Sally Bush of Ogdensburg and Mary Bush of Raleigh, N.C.   Also surviving her are many nieces, nephews and cousins and great and great great nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ms. Bush was predeceased by five brothers, Clark A., Don H., Wayne G., Rodney A., and Ralph N. Bush and one sister Elisabeth A. (Susie) Bush.
