Amy Jo Perretta

OGDENSBURG-A visitation for Amy Jo Perretta, 43, of Ogdensburg will be held on Friday, November 1,  from 1-3 pm at the LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home.  Ms. Perretta died on Wednesday evening, October 23, 2019, at her home, surrounded by her family and under the care of Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley. Entombment will be private in the Foxwood Memorial Park.

Arrangements are under the direction of LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home.

Amy Jo Perretta was born on February 7, 1976, in Ogdensburg, the daughter of John T. & Deborah K. (Andrews) Perretta.  She graduated from Morristown High School in 1994. She went on to study Criminal Justice at North Country Community College where she played Soccer and Softball.  She then transferred to Utica College of Syracuse University where she would earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice.  She was employed by Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley, Inc, as a Family Support Case Coordinator.  She previously worked for United Helpers in Ogdensburg.  She was a fan of the New York Yankees.  Amy loved life and lived on her own terms.  She adored her children, Amy loved her family, her friends, and her nieces and nephews. 

She is survived by her parents, John & Deborah, of  Morristown, NY; a companion, Tim Dawley of Ogdensburg; her children; Jaylene May Dawley, Kaleb William Dawley, and Lukas Douglas Dawley, She is survived by her brother;  David J. Perretta and his wife Sarah of Hammond, and her sister, Andria M. Johnson and her husband Jeff of Brier Hill, NY.  She is also survived by her nieces  and nephews; Dominic and Hunter Perretta and Sidney, Mia, Ava and Wyatt Johnson, and many special aunts, uncles and cousins. 

She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents; Victor and Jean Perretta, maternal grandparents; Donald and Susan Andrews and her Uncle Douglas Andrews.
